Smokie is a social video chat app for adults. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and what choices you have.
By using Smokie, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Smokie.
Smokie is only for people who are at least 18 years old. We ask for your birthday during setup to check that you are old enough to use the app. Your profile shows your age, not your full birthday.
We collect information you provide when you create and use your account, including:
Smokie asks for camera and microphone access so you can join live video matches. We use camera and microphone access for video-call features, local preview, and call controls.
Smokie does not record video calls as part of normal app operation.
Smokie may ask for photo access when you choose a profile picture. We use the selected image to create or update your profile photo.
Smokie does not use GPS location permission for country matching. Your country is selected by you in the app.
We may collect basic technical information needed to run and secure the app, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, session information, server logs, error information, and feature usage events.
We use information to:
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Smokie. These providers help us with features such as sign-in, app distribution, payments, chat, video calls, profile photo hosting, infrastructure, security, and support.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to Smokie or as otherwise allowed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Gem purchases are handled through Google Play and payment-related service providers. Smokie receives purchase confirmation information so we can credit gems to your account. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Smokie includes report and block tools to help keep the app safer. If you report or block someone, we may store information about the users involved, the reason, the time, and related safety context.
Reports and blocks may be used to prevent future matches or chats, review unsafe behavior, enforce our terms, and protect users.
We may share information:
We do not sell your personal information.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Smokie, maintain account records, process purchases, support users, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms.
Some safety, moderation, purchase, fraud-prevention, and legal records may be kept after account deletion when needed for legitimate safety, compliance, or dispute-resolution purposes.
You can delete your account inside the Smokie app from Profile → Account → Delete Account. You can also read deletion instructions at Delete Account.
When your account is deleted, Smokie disables your account and removes or anonymizes identifying account and profile information. Limited records may be retained only when needed for safety, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, purchase history, dispute handling, or moderation.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect Smokie and respond to security issues.
You can update some profile information in the app, choose whether to grant camera, microphone, and photo permissions, block users, delete your account, or contact us for privacy help.
You can control app permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work if required permissions are disabled.
Smokie may process information in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws may differ from country to country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app or on our website.
